  49. Many  hours  of  work have  gone  into  the development  of  NJSTAR,  and I
  50. regularly incorporate suggested changes  into the product as I am  able to.
  51. The  only way I can continue  to provide products like  NJSTAR and to offer
  52. outstanding technical support, is for you to register your copy of  NJSTAR.
  53. I like the shareware concept, and I would like to stay a part of it.  But I
  54. can do so only through registrations of NJSTAR.  Please don't take this the

  98. This  Software  Licence  contains  of  three  sections.    Please  read  it
  99. carefully.   The term  "NJStar Owner" refers  to Hongbo Ni  and Hongbo Data
  100. Systems only.

  102. Section I.
  103.  
  104. This  section is  applicable to  both NJStar  Shareware Version  and NJStar
  105. Registered Version.

  107. 1.1  NJStar is  not and has  never been public  domain software, nor  is it
  108.      free software.  It is NJStar owner's property.
  109.  
  110. 1.2  No one  may modify or  patch the NJStar  executable files in  any way,
  111.      including  but not limited to decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise
  112.      reverse engineering the program.
  113.  
  114. 1.3  The  use of  NJStar, except  for  the initial  30-day trial,  requires
  115.      registration.  The use  of unlicensed copies of NJStar by  any person,
  116.      business,  corporation, government  agency  or  any  other  entity  is
  117.      strictly prohibited.

  119. Section II.
  120.  
  121. This section is applicable to NJStar Shareware Version.
  122.  
  123. 2.1  Any use  of NJStar Shareware  Version is the  implication of a  user's
  124.      acceptance of the terms and conditions listed in the Licence.

  126. 2.2  Non-registered users  are  granted a  limited  license to  use  NJStar
  127.      Shareware  Version  on  a  30-day  trial  basis  for  the  purpose  of
  128.      determining whether NJStar is suitable for their needs.

  130. 2.3  A limited license is  granted to copy and  distribute NJStar only  for
  131.      the trial  use of others, subject  to the above limitations,  and also

  134.      1)   NJStar must be copied in  unmodified form, complete with the file

  136.           registration information.

  138.      2)   The full machine-readable NJStar  documentation must be  included

  163. This section is applicable to NJStar Registered Version.
  164.  
  165. 3.1  Use's request for  registration for NJStar  Registered Version is  the
  166.      implication of a user's acceptance  of the terms and conditions listed
  167.      in the Licence.

  169. 3.2  A single user license  permits a user to use  NJStar only on a  single
  170.      computer.  Licensed users may  use the program on different computers,
  171.      but may  not use the  program on  more than one  computer at the  same
  172.      time.  Multiple user license requires special permission.
  173.  
  174. 3.3  A personal user license  permits  a user to use  NJStar  primarily for
  175.      "HOME USE"  purpose.   Licensed user  may use the  program   at office
  176.      setting for 10% or less  of daily working hours.   Organizational user
  177.      license requires special permission.

  179. 3.4  User's registration for  NJStar Registered Version  is a purchase  for
  180.      the right to use NJStar only  under the term and conditions listed  in
  181.      this Licence.  At no circumostance, licensed users would be allowed to
  182.      copy or resell their licenses or NJStar product to the third party.

  184. 3.5  When upgrade to  a newer  version of  NJStar, user's  licence for  the

  198. This section is applicable for NJStar Registered Version only.

  200. 1.1  The Author  of NJStar warrants  that all disks provided  are free from
  201.      defects in material and workmanship, assuming normal use, for a period
  202.      of 30 days from the date of purchase.

  204. 1.2  The  Author  of NJStar  warrants  that  the  program will  perform  in
  205.      substantial  compliance with  the documentation  supplied  within this
  206.      document.    If a  significant  defect in  the  product is  found, the
  207.      Purchaser may return the product for a  refund.  In no event will such
  208.      a refund exceed the purchase price of the product.

  232.                    IMPORTANT NEW FEATURES IN VERSION 2.10
  233.  
  234. (1)  Add ZhuYin input as being used in Taiwan's Eten and others.
  235.      Add more Chinese input methods such as Wade-Giles and Yale,
  236.      Now NJSTAR supports total 20 Chinese Input methods.
  237. (2)  NJSTAR now requires as little as 270K RAM to run by keeping
  238.      font on disk.
  239. (3)  English Menu item can be selected by pressing the hot key.
  240. (4)  Add printer driver for HP Deskjet (Plus / 500).
  241. (5)  Add command <GetCode> for displaying the input code of Chinese
  242.      character at the cursor.  This command can be used to ask for
  243.      the pronounciation of character at the cursor in PinYin mode.
  244. (6)  User now can add/delete characters in PinYin dictionary.
  245. (7)  Simplified and un-simplified Chinese characters can be printed
  246.      on same page, this partially solve the problem of missing
  247.      character in un-simplified font file.
  248. (8)  Auto Detection for the presence of Enhenced keyboard is added.
  249. (9)  All color combinations can be configured.
  250. (10) Add support for Franch, German and Swidish-Danish keyboards.

  253.  
  254. (1)  User friendly interface  with pull-down menu and mouse  support.  Most
  255.      of the functions can be accessed through the menu.  Mouse  buttons are
  256.      configurable.
  257.  
  258. (2)  Free RAM requirement is now reduced to 450kb.
  259.  
  260. (3)  In NJStar  PinYin mode,  user can  enter Chinese  word by  word.   For
  261.      example: input 'zhongguo' in PinYin will get 'CHINA'.

  263. (4)  Support 20 of popular Chinese  input methods, such as CangJie, ZhuYin,
  264.      and WuBiZiXin.   User  can create  their own  input methods through  a
  265.      provided utility INPUTDIC.EXE.

  267. (5)  Add a quick input method for Chinese number and unit in PinYin mode.

  269. (6)  Add <DelLX> for deleting LianXiang word within NJSTAR.

  275.      under the current input method.

  277. (9)  Background color now configurable.  The cursor can be configured to be
  278.      blinking as in text mode.

  280. (10) Record macro can be saved to a file by <SaveMacro>.  Macro can be read
  281.      from file by  <ReadMacro> command.  A utility,  NJMAC.EXE, is provided
  282.      for converting user-written macro texts to macro files.

  284. (11) Add option  -l -x  for  njstar command  line, to  load or  load-excuse
  285.      macros.

  287. (12) When user is  prompted for entering a  file name to be  edited, F1 key
  288.      can be used  to bring up a  list in a window  of all the files  in the
  289.      current directory  for selection.   Other  directories and drives  can
  290.      also be navigated.

  292. (13) AutoSave current file to AUTOSAVE.NJX for possible recovery in case of
  293.      power failure  or other unexpected  errors.   User will be  noticed if
  294.      such a backup file exists.

  296. (14) Marked Block can be Saved to a file by <SaveBlock> Command.

  298. (15) Add  <FileList> for  Listing  all  the files  in  the  file ring,  and
  299.      displaying in a  pop-up window, Use arrow keys or mouse to move, Enter
  300.      or Left Mouse button to select file for editing or viewing.

  302. (16) Now  Support 9  pin & 24  pin Epson  and IBM Compatible  Dot Printers,

  976.     2. If NJSTAR can not find enough RAM to load CCLIB, CCLIB will stay on disk.

  978.        It saves 128K Ram, and is used for those who has RAM less then 470K.
  979.        As a trade off, NJSTAR displays slower if CCLIB is read from disk.
  980.        NJSTAR will work without LianXiang in 270K Free RAM.

  992. 1.   NJStar English version provides all menu items and program prompts  in
  993.      English, instead of Chinese.  Other than those, it is identical to its
  994.      Chinese counterpart.

  996. 2.   Regitered users  may select either Chinese or English version at their
  997.      own option.  To order both versions,  please contact NJStar author  or
  998.      the agent for extra charge.

  1000. 3.   In the case either Chinese or English version is ordered,  the program
  1001.      is named as NJSTAR.EXE.  Thus,  there is no difference to start either
  1002.      version.

  1017. 1.   NJSDK - NJSTAR Chinese Software Development Kits. Version 2.1:
  1018.      a C Library as  being  used  by  NJSTAR  V2.1.  It  contains  all  the
  1019.      functions for handling  Chinese  Input,  display  and  printing.  With
  1020.      NJSDK, user can develop any Chinese applications without  knowing  how
  1021.      Chinese characters are inputed, displayed or  printed.  LICENSED  USER
  1022.      can distribute all NJSTAR dictionaries and fonts (30 files) with their
  1023.      applicationa without any further royalty payment.  A  copy  of  Latest
  1024.      NJSTAR will be included with this  license,  but  not  allowed  to  be
  1025.      distributed with user  application.  Please  contact  the  author  for
  1026.      current price.

  1028.      Japanese version of NJSDK will be available soon.

  1030. 2.   Japanese Version of NJSTAR is available using JIS (Japanese Industrial
